The Better Business Bureau (BBB) has partnered with Indeed, based in Austin, Texas, to offer a “$200 Sponsored Job credit” for new accounts in the U.S. and Canada that post a job. This affiliation is intending to help businesses in these uncertain time that have turned toward rebuilding and recovery following the economic shutdown. Companies can claim the credit at indeed.com (terms, conditions, quality standards and usage limits apply).
The COVID-19 pandemic has inflated the unemployment rate, amidst rising layoffs by companies. As now some areas are restoring things to normal, many businesses are hiring back furloughed employees, as well as looking for new hires, BBB strives to help employers find the right people for their teams with this partnership.
A statement by Indeed says employers can post jobs for free but the Sponsored Job ads get optimal visibility, delivering more quality applicants to the job. Only the partnership website has the authority to avail of this exclusive offer by Indeed, partnering with BBB.
Besides other programs, the partnership with Indeed is BBB’s newest effort to assist businesses in recovery, retaining its aim to be the ethical marketplace. To support its mission of trust in the marketplace, BBB also receives a referral fee in addition to the credit to businesses.
BBB and Indeed also work together to train employers, educating them on interview strategies, job placement effectiveness and hiring the best practices, alongside instructing consumers about employment scams.
