BharCap Partners, LLC (“BharCap”), a private investment company that invests in financial services-related companies, officially declared the decentralization of its team from Pine Brook Road Partners (“Pine Brook”), creating an independent private investment firm. This venture would focus on the financial services industry. BharCap was founded by enthusiasts, namely Bharath Srikrishnan, Ethan Wang, and Jim Rutherfurd with Kevin Becker and Ryan Gean. All five of these BharCap founders previously worked together at Pine Brook.
BharCap is a minority-owned and regulated company and is one of the industry’s largest start-up minority-owned and controlled private investment firms. BharCap has access to available client capital of $1.8 billion, of which $352 million is funded assets under management, of which $318 million in unfunded contributions to current portfolio companies and $1.1 billion is available for fresh investments.

From senior secured debt to common equity, BharCap can invest through the capital structure and has the skills to invest in existing businesses or launch new companies. Furthermore, to pick specialty finance companies and other asset drivers, BharCap may have long-term commitments (e.g., 7 to 10 years).
