Be the Change Job Fair announced that candidate registration for the second virtual job fair would take place on April 22, 2021, is now available. The event is led by Cara Bertone, Philana Bouvier, Lia Jones, and Rania Zayyat, collaborating with Diversity in Food & Beverage and Lift Collective.
Following the first job fair’s success in December 2020 for the wine industry, 2021 Be the Change Job Fair will include exhibitors from the beer and spirits industries, including Boston Beer Company, Bacardi USA, and others.
Be the Change is the first program of its kind, committed solely to making the beverage alcohol industry more diverse and egalitarian.
Be the Change has built a best-in-class networking and digital recruitment platform in collaboration with Brazen and Forcebrands, promoting diversity, equality, and inclusion (DEI) in hiring practices among the beverage alcohol industry’s leading companies.
Employers committed to DEI will be represented at the four-hour case, which will have room for up to 1,000 job seekers and various job openings around the beverage industry. Philana Bouvier, the co-founder of Be the Change and President of Demeine Estates, said that they are excited to extend their campaign this year to include the spirits and beer industries.
Be the Change is a dynamic initiative dedicated to reforming the status quo through action and policy. The initiative aims to build a diverse beverage industry by promoting job placement with businesses committed to delivering real-world solutions through diversity and equity training—results that can be calculated and long-term strategy. Cara Bertone, Philana Bouvier, Lia Jones, and Rania Zayyat formed Be the Change in collaboration with Diversity in Food and Beverage and Lift Collective.
The virtual job fair is an inclusive and equal opportunity job fair. Be the Change continues to concentrate on work placement and education for the beverage alcohol industry following the first job fair’s success in December 2020. The virtual job fair will include several job opportunities, including marketing and sales, production and winemaking, and more.
Job applicants will have the opportunity to network and interface with a litany of leading beverage alcohol brands as exhibitors, including but not limited to Avaline, Bacardi USA, Boston Beer Company, Brown Forman, Constellation Brands, Crimson Wine Group, H-E-B, Jackson Family Wines, New Belgium Brewing, Moët-Hennessey, Scheid Family Wines, Silver Oak, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, WhistlePig Whiskey, Republican National Distributing Company, Southern Glazers Wine & Spirits, and more.
Candidates will be able to review exhibitor details after completing registration to prepare for the event on April 22. Here’s where you can learn more about how it works.
