Dyte, a live video and audio platform, announced an $11.6 million investment round headed by Unbound, Surge, and Nexus Venture Partners. The fresh funds will be utilized to grow the company’s product and technical teams, with a focus on international hires.
Abhishek Kankani, Kushagra Vaish, and Palash Golecha created Dyte in 2021 as a real-time audio and video communication software development kit (SDK) startup. According to the company, it has connected half a million people in 300 cities worldwide.
When it comes to live video, they have barely scratched the surface of what’s possible. It’s their objective to provide application developers with a simple interface so they can emphasize on the customer experience rather than the technology or infrastructure hurdles of establishing and maintaining live audio and video, stated Kankani, Co-Founder and CEO.
Dyte’s clients include Skill-Lync, Yellow.ai (Yellow Messenger), Coffeemug.ai, Shimmer, and Newton School. Telemedicine apps, edtech and gaming platforms, and customer support teams are all served by the company.
Dyte also provides plugins to make video calls more engaging and engaging, as well as to enhance the user experience to make it more interactive. Plugins are now available for whiteboarding platforms like Miro and Whiteboard, as well as Youtube and Google Docs.
