Energy Toolbase, a leading software platform that works in solar + storage modeling, asset monitoring products, and energy storage system control has recently joined hands with Delta. Delta is a globally acknowledged name in power and thermal management solutions and has been integrated onto Energy Toolbase to improve its sales and modeling software platform. This collaboration will add more power to energy developers to objectively analyze and propose the economic value proposition of Delta’s energy storage solutions.
Delta’s energy storage solution offers a power conditioning system (PCS). It is a bi-directional inverter that is scalable up to 500kW. Delta also provides a grid-tied energy storage system (ESS) scalable up to 2,000kWh capacity. The partnership will help the clients to avail themselves of the option of Energy Toolbase’s intelligent Energy Management System (iEMS) storage control software. It uses machine learning to optimize battery dispatch for maximum savings. The integration of the hardware and software will support a simplified, pre-configured, end-to-end procurement process for developers using the Energy Toolbase for project modeling.
Enrico Ladendorf, VP of Technology and Product Operations at Energy Toolbase, said that they have been working closely with Delta to energize their first handful of energy storage projects. The company is excited about the prospect of this platform integration leading to many more deployments in the future, he added.
Shane Long, director of engineering for the Energy Infrastructure Solutions Business Group at Delta in the Americas region, also shared his feelings regarding the new partnership. According to him, the team is incredibly proud to collaborate with Energy Toolbase, and this integration will offer developers a more streamlined and comprehensive workflow to analyze and close projects.
There is no additional cost for Energy Toolbase users to use the newly launched Delta integration. The storage dispatch of this integration, simulations, and savings analysis are conducted through the Energy Toolbase platform. It will represent how the Delta system, controlled by the Energy Toolbase iEMS controller, would operate in the field. The Energy Toolbase iEMS offers a range of different configurations for both Behind-the-Meter and Front-of-the-Meter storage applications.
Energy Toolbase and Delta are currently working on a 100kW, 220kWh energy storage project located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Three additional sites are scheduled to be energized within the next quarter.
