As a remedy to offer a fully-connected, digital remote supply chain experience; Gerber Technology and 3DLOOK, The Body Data Platform are proud to declare their partnership and integration.
The deadly COVID-19 virus has caused a situation where retail trade has come to a standstill. In a retail world, working remotely is crucial due to the new COVID-19 situation and, this partnership will allow consumers receiving personalized, high-quality garments by leveraging a fully connected, on-demand workflow.
The goal of this unification is to give small companies the digital tools they need to function online and meet customer demand, all while remaining digitally competitive and forward-thinking in an era that requires constant technological evolution, in spite the size of the business. 3DLOOK has established a special package with real quick and easy combination.
To partner with 3DLOOK to offer worldwide brands and retailers a fresh, digitally innovative way to collaborate, makes them feel incredibly proud, said Ketty Pillet, VP of Marketing at Gerber Technology. She also said that, they need to ensure that their clothes fit perfectly for companies to offer their customers the best quality products.
The data transfers from the Body Data Platform into Product data include measurement, shape, accuracy of the 3D model, and fit analysis. It also delivers intuition of customer profiles through an effective dashboard. Customers take two images when they are fully dressed, then a computer vision algorithm senses the human body and allows 3D models and profiles of the body. The algorithm measures the 3D models to calculate 65 measurements which comply with ISO. Customers can quickly understand how a garment blends into its particular body shape by using the 3DLOOK app.
Mintel, reports 81 per cent of customers purchasing right-fit clothes are far more likely to purchase from the brand again. Fit is a determining factor for many customers when selecting which brands to purchase from. Prioritizing fit in their design cycle is vital for today’s apparel companies to minimize guesswork for their customer and raising the amount of returns.
3DLOOK’s Body Data Platform offers insights and analysis to help brands refine their fit and grading systems from broad segmentation based on previous surveys to real-time customer-focused segmentation.
3DLOOK is an Artificial Intelligence-first technology company that uses computer vision, neural networks, and 3D statistical modelling to generate 3D models and 65 measurements from two photos taken on any smartphone on any background for people wearing tight-fitting clothing.
The company, founded in 2016, is based in San Mateo, CA with a 27-year R&D team. The mission of the company is to enable a simple exchange process of body data between the consumers and the places they love to shop. It will help to place these data at the center of design, manufacturing and customer experience. 3DLOOK is the recipient of the 2019 LVMH VivaTech Award and of the IEEE Retail Digital Grand Challenge.
