Google is planning to open a new office in Pune in the second half of 2022. Teams in cloud product engineering, technical support, and global delivery center organizations will be hired.
In a statement, the Mountain View-based technology giant stated, recruiting for the organization’s rapidly expanding teams in Gurgaon, Hyderabad, and Bangalore begins immediately. As it tries to compete with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft, Google has been aggressively growing its Cloud division in the country with key senior hires.
Anil Bhansali, India’s VP of Cloud Engineering, stated that their expansion into Pune as an IT hub will allow them to recruit top talent as they continue to build sophisticated cloud computing solutions, products, and services for their expanding customer base.
The new hires will be in charge of developing advanced enterprise cloud technologies in collaboration with Google Cloud’s global engineering teams, providing real-time technical advice, and delivering product and implementation expertise that customers look to Google Cloud for as a trusted partner in their digital journey.
In other news, Google is reportedly facing legal action over ‘deceptive’ Pixel 4 radio advertising. According to GizmoChina, the corporation is being sued in Texas for radio advertisements that aired from late October to early December of 2019.
According to AndroidCentral, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has filed a complaint alleging that Google advertised its Pixel 4 devices in Dallas-Fort Worth and Houston in an inaccurate and deceptive manner.
