In order to propagate innovation in, and promote the use of environmentally friendly technologies, Green Science Alliance on June 10, 2020, announced joining WIPO GREEN as a contributing partner. An open platform, WIPO GREEN administered by World Intellectual Property Organization seeks to support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by using intellectual property to spread environmentally friendly technologies and promote innovation.
With the inception of WIPO GREEN in November 2013, more than 600 connections have been made and 3,000 green technologies have been registered. WIPO GREEN online database, a unique platform for the providers of advanced environmentally technologies to register and promote their innovations to seekers aiding sustainable development has been introduced.
Green Science Alliance with its development and research on cutting edge technologies on energy and environment, in April 2020, registered their patents, such as bioplastic and bioethanol (biofuel) from biomass waste, 100 % nature biomass biodegradable resin, on the WIPO GREEN database, accessible to public for use to create a better world. With the aim of supporting the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the alliance will register more of their energy and environmental friendly technologies.
Acting as a catalyst for green innovation and technology providers and seekers, WIPO GREEN’s database catalogues sustainable solutions and needs across the world. Green Science Alliance focusses on research and development in the field of energy and green technology such as 100 percent natural biomass based biodegradable substances, biofuel, water harvesting, CO2 storage and conversion etc. The coming together of distinct functionalities to promote an eco-friendly solutions and a common goal of sustainable development, is just what the world needs today.
