LimeChat, a chatbot driven by artificial intelligence (AI), has secured $4.2 million in a round-headed by Stellaris Venture Partners, with participation from Pi Ventures, Titan Capital, and prominent angel investors.
LimeChat, founded in 2020 by Aniket Bajpai and Nikhil Gupta, seeks to create user experiences utilizing “human-level” AI chatbots to generate meaningful impact for direct-to-consumer (D2C) marketers and consumers alike. The funds will be used to improve the startup’s product and expand its go-to-market operations.
Despite investing a lot of energy, human resources, and capital, some excellent brands fail to give quality customer experience and support, stated Nikhil Gupta, Co-Founder of LimeChat. The impact they have been able to generate for companies is reflected in their rising client base.
D2C as a category has seen tremendous growth in the previous several years, remarked Alok Goyal, Partner at Stellaris Venture Partners. They started working with Limechat approximately a year ago, and the company has only grown stronger since then. They are ecstatic to be leading this round, and they are excited to see where conversational AI goes next.
LimeChat is building a conversational marketing ecosystem to aid D2C brands in increasing customer retention. The firm claims to have tripled its revenue in the last six months and expanded its customer base to over 125 brands in India and worldwide, including Mamaearth, MCaffeine, Wow Skin Science, and others.
