BlackLine, Inc., the pioneer solution provider that automates complex, manual, and repetitive accounting processes, announced that Lisa Schreiber, a SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) and business software veteran, has joined as Chief Customer Officer. As the accounting automation software chief continues to reinvent the way Finance and Accounting departments work, Ms. Schreiber manages the company’s Implementation, Strategic Innovation, Customer Success, Support, and Training teams in her current position.
BlackLine CEO Marc Huffman said that Lisa would continue to strengthen BlackLine’s deep commitment to guiding businesses through strategic transitions. She would be leading customer delivery, service, and performance functions, ensuring that our customers have the best experience on their modern accounting journeys.
Lisa’s customer-first philosophy ideally aligns with its culture of service, creativity, empathy, and hands-on teamwork. He said that they pride themselves on always going the extra mile for their customers. Schreiber has over 20 years of business software and SaaS experience, including customer success and technology leadership positions.
Following Oracle’s acquisition of GoldenGate Software, where she led technical services and support, Schreiber spent ten years in executive roles at Oracle driving customer success. She previously worked for Charles Schwab, Apple, and Bank of America in management positions.
Schreiber said that she considers herself fortunate to work for a market-leading business well-liked by its customers. Although the high retention rates are a good sign, the controller’s and accountants’ voices who use the program every day speak volumes about BlackLine’s dedication to customer service. She also said that she has never seen anything like the overwhelmingly positive feedback on sites like Gartner Peer Insights, G2, and TrustRadius. Her enthusiasm stems from her own experience as a technology user, and she understands the considerations, worries, and fears that go into buying decisions.
Karen Flathers, who left the organization at the end of February, was replaced by Schreiber. Mr. Huffman added that Karen has been instrumental in helping scale BlackLine’s customer success organization. They made substantial investments in the customer team’s capacity around customer satisfaction, training, and execution during Lisa’s tenure, laying the groundwork for Lisa to take the customer experience to new heights.
