Mindtree, an information technology services firm, recently announced the opening of its second facility in Pune, which can accommodate more than 350 employees. This is in addition to its Hinjawadi facility, which has a capacity of 1,300 employees.
The new location is 43,000 square feet and is located at the ICC Tech Park (International Convention Center). Mindtree started operations in Pune in 2009, with a 200,000-square-foot facility in Hinjawadi.
According to the organization, it has grown fast in Pune over the last few years as a result of increased global demand for its digital transformation services, employing more than 3,700 experts in the city, with women accounting for more than a third of its workforce.
Despite the pandemic, the company’s Pune staff has increased by 2.5 times in the last year. In terms of headcount, Mindtree’s Pune office is now the company’s third-largest internationally. The corporation had 31,959 employees as of the third quarter.
