TikTok, the leading video platform that aims to inspire creativity and bring joy, has collaborated with Oracle Corporation for its secure cloud technology solution services. TikTok’s decision of association with Oracle was strongly influenced by Zoom’s recent success, where Zoom shifted a significant portion of its video conferencing capacity to the Oracle Public Cloud.

Oracle Chief Technology Officer Larry Ellison said that TikTok picked Oracle’s new Generation 2 Cloud infrastructure because it’s much faster, reliable, and secure than the present first-generation technology offered by all the other major cloud providers. In the recently released 2020 Industry CloudPath survey by IDC, he said that 935 Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) customers on their satisfaction with the top IaaS vendors, including Oracle, Amazon Web Services, and Microsoft, IBM, and Google Cloud. He took pride in sharing that Oracle IaaS received the highest satisfaction score out of all.

Oracle CEO Safra Catz informed that TikTok would run on the Oracle Cloud, and Oracle will become a minority investor in TikTok Global as a part of this agreement. He further added that Oracle would quickly deploy, rapidly scale, and operate TikTok systems in the Oracle Cloud. Safra told that they are a hundred percent confident in delivering a highly secure environment to TikTok and ensuring data privacy to TikTok’s American users and users worldwide. According to him, this greatly improved security and guaranteed privacy will enable the continued rapid growth of the TikTok user community to benefit all stakeholders.
