Grooms’ stellar career in leadership ended recently with his retirement from the U.S. Navy as Vice Admiral. His last project on duty saw Grooms as Deputy Chief of Staff for Capability Development at Allied Command Transformation. Some of his noteworthy achievements include his outstanding performances as Commander of Submarine Group TWO and Vice Director of the Joint Staff. Lately, he has also served as Raytheon’s Vice President of U.S. Business Development for Navy and Marine Corps Programs.

His educational background includes a B.S. degree in Aerospace Engineering, U.S. Naval Academy and a master’s degree with distinction from the prestigious Naval War College. Grooms also served as a National Security Fellow at Stanford University for some time.
