Wirex, the leading crypto platform, announced an inspiring list of ‘Rising Women in Crypto,’ in partnership with The Fintech Times. The ‘Power List’ received 367 entries, the top 10 of which would be revealed early next month after closing entries for nominations last week.
The ‘power list’ for women who worked in crypto fields, rarely recognized for their incredible achievements, was created as part of Wirex’s inaugural ‘Women in Crypto’ campaign. Wirex strives to shed light on incredible women, to give others the confidence to engage in a thriving field. Over the last month, people have been given to choose themselves or someone they know who they believe promotes the world of crypto. A list of all the shortlisted women has been identified, showing women with diverse backgrounds and expertise. This includes junior and senior staff, newcomers, long-standing crypto advocates and employees of both start-ups and multinationals. Women are represented in more than 50 countries, working in the fields of technology, finance, law, journalism and design.
The esteemed panel will discuss and decide on its top 10 entries, which show unparalleled levels of achievement, potential, leadership skills, ambition, influence and innovation, and will announce a shortlist on November 2. Wirex will launch the final phase of its campaign with the acquisition of a wirex channel. There will also be a series of inspiring articles and videos, including the contents of Erica Standford, the founders of the Crypto Curry Club, Dr. Ruth Wandhofer, a Fintech Global 50 influencer, and Denelle Dixon, CEO of the Stellar Development Foundation, who are also inspired by the women who work for Wirex. Women will share their unique perspectives on what it means to be a woman in the area and showcase their work experience in the field.
Pavel Matveev, CEO and Wirex Co-Founder, shared his excitement about the campaign, as he is one of the judges of the ‘Power List’. According to him the ‘Women in Crypto’ initiative was a great success. It is unbelievable that the extensive achievements of women working in the sector have already read some nominations for the ‘Power List.’ Since, the first launched, the mission of Wirex has been to empower all people to step into the world of cryptography by offering the often confusing blockchain world, and they hope that it inspires women from all over the world to become involved in this rapidly. He is looking forward to the impact of the campaign as we move into the final stage of the campaign and reveal the shortlist.
