China-based ZTE Corporation, the international leader of telecommunication, has announced that it has bagged two esteemed awards of Best Test & Measurement Technology and Most Successful 5G Consumer Service at the event hosted by Informa on September 2, 2020. The first award was conferred to acknowledge its Insight Flow (iFlow) technology, a flow-based precise network insight solution. The latter award was granted to recognize its 5G+ Live TV service at 5G World 2020.
ZTE released the ground-breaking iFlow solution based on the Inband OAM, which could monitor both the control plane and the forwarding plane in the router where the control plane makes routing decisions and the data plane forward data (packets) through the router. This solution resolves a series of transport network problem and unmeasurable service SLA besides difficult fault location and the low network awareness. It is built on the millisecond-level data collection adopting hop-by-hop node detection. iFlow offers service quality awareness, fault location, and service self-recovery within seconds.
Furthermore, the iFlow solution enables a closed-loop life cycle of network services that monitor and analyze optimization. This feature has remarkably improved the network service quality and operators’ O&M experience, thereby reducing the O&M complexity and cost.
Moreover, ZTE’s 5G+ Live TV solution is tailored to suit large events and concerts. The integration of multi-angle HD (High Definition) lives broadcast, value-added services, and social functions enabled the 5G+ Live TV Solution cater audiences with innovative experiences in various 5G scenarios, through MEC technology and AI recognition.
5G+ Live TV solution enables the audiences to watch games from multiple perspectives, giving the on-site spectators a personalized experience and home audiences an immersive experience.
Mr. Fang Hui, Vice president at ZTE, said that compared to traditional solutions, the 5G+ Live TV brings more commercial possibilities to operators. He added that it facilitates cooperation between suppliers and operators, which will be essential for 5G video development.
