Schmitt Industries, Inc., designer and manufacturer of highly precise test, measurement, and process control system, announced Philip Bosco, CPA, as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Company, effective December 1, 2020.
Michael Zapata, CEO at Schmitt, stated that they are pleased to welcome Philip to the Schmitt team. Philip brings a wide range of financial expertise across a diverse set of industries and companies, including established organizations, start-ups, and turnaround situations. Philip can lead financial improvements through his process control experiences and his strategic and commercial mindset.
Mr. Bosco brings over 25 years of financial expertise with extensive hands-on experience in a wide breadth of industries. Before joining Schmitt, Mr. Bosco served as CFO of Americas for Intega Group Limited, a publicly held company, with Americas division generating $200M of revenue, with 1,100 staff and over 50 offices. Mr. Bosco earned a Bachelor of Science from Marquette University and his Master of Business Administration from the University of Houston.
Mr. Zapata asserted that he’d thank Jamie Schmidt on behalf of the board for his commitment and dedication to the team as he walked into the CFO position during a pivotal phase of Schmitt’s transition and growth. Jamie has played significant role in the past year. He has overseen the successful SBS transaction, acquisition of Ample Hills Creamery, and the Schmitt finance team’s growth besides its establishment.
